BLOOMINGBURG – Assemblywoman Paula Kay (D, Rock Hill) presided over the region’s first-ever First Responder Recognition Awards ceremony Wednesday night at the Bloomingburg Firehouse. 

The inaugural class exemplifies a passion and commitment to public safety with recipients hailing from both Sullivan and Orange counties. 

Several Assembly Democrats plan to petition Gov. Kathy Hochul to roll back the statewide mandate to build all-electric buildings starting next year.

The All-Electric Buildings Act was tucked in the state budget in 2023, and bans new gas hookups in new buildings under seven stories starting Jan. 1. The mandate would apply to all other buildings constructed after Jan. 1, 2029.

MONTICELLO – Assemblywoman Paula Kay recently hosted a roundtable discussion for Sullivan County’s largest employers, developers, construction unions and officials to meet and share ideas about what they say is a critical lack of housing for residents and employees.

ROCK HILL, NY — Assembly Member Paula Elaine Kay (D-Rock Hill) has secured a $250,000 line-item continuation in the New York State FY 2026 budget to support EverGreen Meadow Services, Inc., a Rock Hill-based nonprofit that serves girls across New York State who are at risk of self-harm or suicide.
